Bread Idli is a very good morning breakfast. This bread idli is a very innovative breakfast which can be a part of your breakfast and can be prepared in very less time. It is made with potatoes and served with chutney.

Following are some of the steps to make bread idli

  • First boil the potatoes and mash them.
  • Now add onion, coriander, green chili, salt, red chili etc. to the potato and make small balls.
  • Now take a big sized bread and cut it into round shape with a bowl.
  • set aside extra bread crumbs
  • Take sour curd and add salt and add red chili to it
  • Put a little oil in the pan and make tempering of cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, onions etc.
  • Mix this tempering (tadka) into the curd. 
  • keep the pan on medium heat.
  • Grease the pan and place the potato balls on it and place the round shape of bread on it.
  • Now apply sour curd paste on the top surface of the bread
  • and cover with a plate
  • Keep it on gas for 3-4 minutes
  • After 4 minutes the top surface of the bread will puff up.
  • Now serve it with sour and sweet chutney.
Bread idli is ready to serve.
