Idli is a South Indian dish which is very much liked by all as it can be prepared easily and in very little time. It is considered a good breakfast which you can eat with chutney and sambhar. It's a very popular and healthy breakfast made with little or no oil. Idli can also be fried in mustard seeds and curry leaves which can be eaten without coconut chutney or sambhar as per your taste, which is made very easily.

 Let's make vegetable Idli. Follow the below steps to make a delicious breakfast - Idli


  • take 250gm suji
  • take 150gm sour curd.
  • take vegetable like carrot capsicum tomato, onion and chop them in small pieces.
  • take salt, chilly powder, coriander leaves, cumin (zeera).
  • mix all above ingredients with around 500 ml of water and keep it for one hour so that suji is soaked well and is soft to be used.
  • The batter should be thick so that it doesn't flows out when kept in idli maker.
  • Take the batter required to be poured for filling and then add 1/4 tea-spoon soda and mix it.
  • Now take Idli maker and fill the plates with batter.
  • Pour 2 glasses of water in the Idli maker
  • When the water starts boiling keep the idli frames in the idli maker and cook it for 10-15 mins on medium flames.
  • Now your delicious Idli is ready to be served with Sambhar and Coconut Chutney.
